What is Healthcare for Internationals

Healthcare 4 internationals is a non-profit network of organisations that aim to have Dutch Healthcare better meet the needs and expectations of patients with an international background.

The network is formed by healthcare providers such as primary healthcare centers, mental health providers and midwives. Also other relevant stakeholders are welcomed. Internationals participate in the network representing those with an international background.

The network supports its members to innovate their healthcare services in close cooperation with the international community. Members exchange knowledge, practices and skills.  Examples include logistical concepts, online services and the training of professionals in transcultural communication and differences between healthcare system.

Healthcare providers in H4i will keep their own identity, but will be recognized as members of the network by a quality label that guarantees the international community a certain level of appropriate care.

The network promotes the common interests of its members en keeps close relationships with other stakeholders, such as the (local) government, employers and health insurance companies. Members can outsource common tasks to the network, for example the provision of information about the network or, more generally, about health, disease and care in the Netherlands.
