As you may know, Dutch healthcare is truly in need of more healthcare professionals. Not only due to the coronavirus, as there was a shortage of qualified healthcare personnel long before the Covid-19 breakout.
If you are a healthcare professional looking for a job in the Netherlands, this is a great time to take that step.
Maybe, you already took the first step, but were put off by all the hurdles you encountered. If that is the case, this programme might be for you.

Introduction of the programme
This programme aims to prepare internationals for a job in Dutch healthcare, as well as provide them with a position at a healthcare facility. The programme was developed together with Spijtenburg, a well-known recruitment agency for professionals in healthcare.
The pilot programme we are starting is a follow-up to a project by ‘Healthcare for internationals’ and ‘Health Innovation School Noord-Brabant’ (HIS), which aims to reinforce Dutch healthcare with the help of international healthcare professionals.
Language course
In order to register as a healthcare professional in the Netherlands you need to obtain a B1 level (or higher) Dutch Language Certificate. Therefore, a language course will be provided if you are not yet in the possession of such a certificate.
Personal mentor
Spijtenburg will provide you with a personal mentor, who will be available at all times to help you with any and all professional, administrative and language challenges you may face. We strongly believe that happy employees deliver better results. Where could this be more important than in healthcare?
Initial position
Internationals that complete the programme will be offered an initial position at a healthcare facility.
